Sigh. This was my third consecutive year attending NACE Event Design Trends, and these installations seemed to be the biggest and boldest yet. I admit I was highly overwhelmed when I entered the show space at 200 Peachtree- I had to walk one time around the room to orient myself aesthetically! I feel like these vignettes are an invitation to a fairy tale. Want to play in a Secret Garden? Do you want to sit among shimmering crystals and dine with Windsor and Thomas (pronounced Toe-mah, naturally)? What about a winter wonderland of snowflakes on pink roses? Whatever your heart desires, someone in this city can bring it to life for you. I hope you enjoy images from several installations that particularly resonated in my imagination.

Crisp nautical blues and whites from Perfect Petals.

No detail too small in this Secret Garden from Michelle and Steve at Bold American.

I’m not sure who designed this scene, but it caught my eye! If anyone wants to enlighten me I will be happy to provide design credit.

Stunning juxtaposition of blossoms and frost from Danny at The Savage Garden.

I’m not entirely sure, but I believe this surreal world was a collaboration from Studio Wed.

From Ashley Baber & Co; a charming, cozy brunch theme.

Sophistication and shine from A Legendary Event.

Last year’s first place team, Event Design Group, repeated their success with this winning table in metallic tones.
